Ballet

Watch out – they appear – they disappear. One event – four floors and 4 previous dating encounters. It’s a small city and getting smaller. Once you stop dating someone do you really want to see those dates again? Maybe! But not in the same room all in one night. This propelled Barb and I right to the vodka bar. A few cocktails later harmony was restored. You either need to date less frequently or explore more far reaching zip codes. Or here’s a novel idea – just find a boyfriend!

Seeing Spots?

Women say they need a “second wife” for things they are too busy to do. When choosing a contractor you need a “second husband.” You see him more than your own, he can’t yell at you & has to put up with your tantrums! He sees you in your bathrobe, referees the fights (what’s wrong with a purple bathroom?) & does it all with grace & humor. After all he gets to go home that night! Who else gives you an extra 28 inches, double hung? ( I meant closet space- what were YOU thinking?)

Warm up Attire

Can you date someone with a different pace? Do opposites attract or is it really of like mind & pace? Two different paces. How would that work?  I’m ready to go and he’s sleeping. I have seen the look of exhaustion on their “date face.” I’m sure relaxation and sleep are a good way to re-vitalize the spirit – but not for me. Pace only matters if one person feels out of sinc. If one leads and the other follows effortlessly – that can be a pretty smooth balance.

Agree to Disagree

The move… Moving and stress go hand in hand. What can test a marriage more? Most men are creatures of habit. When things are out of place they are lost. Who knew? Decisions like what to get rid of, (not your things of course) painting, furniture, electrical, contractors (he will become your new second husband) will wear you both down. Why didn’t you just stay where you were? Try not to forget this is fun & exciting. Stay tuned…next the sage burning!

What do you wear on a first date? Maybe not a feathered skirt. I know what I like to wear, but what do guys really want you to wear? Think sexy, flirty, and fun. It usually means not too provocative (although I test that limit quickly.) You should show off your shape but you don’t need the low cut bondage look. (although that can be fun). The short skirt & cleavage revealing top are probably not the best first impression, try the slow reveal!!! They want to see skin, don’t want you to tumble over in 5 inch heels, and you can probably skip the turtleneck. What you wear matters, but what are they really thinking? What’s underneath???

 The Married One

What makes a marriage last? Let’s ask Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles. After 65 (yikes) years of marriage they ought to know! How many fights and how many “make up” sessions did they have have? The Queen said her secret to a long, happy marriage was ” having different interests.” That and the fact he has to walk two steps behind her! Now let’s think about this; she is a Queen and she is in charge. Mmmm… since I think I am a princess, do you think my prince will walk even one step behind me?
