The Single One…

I need a nap. The new dating question… Is he married? How do you know – especially if u date out of your zip code. The “new married” seems to be that you get days off for good behavior “to date.” Or if the marriage is really progressive the wife lives in the house a couple of days a week – of course that’s just to keep the family concept in tact. Dating used to be about looking for qualities that you found enticing – witty, kind, sexy and smart. Now you need to stay focused on the bigger issue who is married and still dating? Rings are irrelevant. Jewelry cumbersome. What’s next in the dating game? Perhaps I just need to broaden my dating circle!

The Married One

No where to run, no where to hide. Traveling with your husband is a constant challenge, it takes humor and patience. There is no escape – you are together in one room with one bathroom. Constant questions- where do we eat, what’s after dinner, can’t you read that map, where are we and so on?  But the memories, laughter, & mistakes (running out of gas or ordering from a French menu you can’t translate make it all worthwhile. I wouldn’t trade it for all the privacy in the world. Well maybe an extra bathroom!
