Visit Caldwell, where your wine tasting and cheese pairing is done in caves. Don’t miss Tournesol, a certified organic winery specializing in Bordeaux varietals.  Tour their French style Chateau and reserve an overnight stay.  A lot less expensive than a flight to the Loire Valley.

Raymond Winery, purchased by French owner Jean Charles Boisset, has combined the ultimate wine tasting with a Crystal Cellar, pool room, futuristic wine blending room and a first… Art Nouveau private club room- membership only.

Drive on the “Safe” side call Ona and Dan Marks, whose company Designated Driver will drive your car or theirs. They will arrange tastings, tours to hidden off beat wineries, and can arrange your hotel stay. All you have to do is sit back and enjoy the ride!

  • GPSmycity.com offers free maps (offline) & presents walking tours in over 470 cities! The tours are $4.99 each. Best feature? A “find me” locator so it can record where you have been. Perfect for the geographically challenged!

Unlike Global City Guide $19.99.  worth it. Find the hippest bars, hotels, museums, clubs and restaurants hand selected by professionals. Perfect travel companion, access all info off line, no Wi-Fi or 3G needed

City-Go-Round- not an app, but so valuable. This website compiles all public transportation apps (follow that?) Helps you navigate anywhere in the country. Just log on to “find the best way to navigate through a busy city.”
